zryni territory was a region dominated by water, from the sea to the river to the lake, so much so that the idea of a fire was almost absurd. It was a testament to the element's strength that it had still found a way to sink its talons into the earth; the burned lands were a monument of destruction, a humbling expanse of blackened char that warned wolves of the danger of underestimating the most intimidating foe around: mother nature.
And yet Sekhmet was charmed by the bitter earth, its scorched stones and brittle, dead shrubbery holding a beauty all its own. The fae liked to traverse the barren landscape, feel the soft crunch of ash beneath her paws and the gentle scent of lingering smoke across her sensitive nose. She'd always felt a kindred spirit in fire; in the way it could warm and nurture one moment and yet turn to a ruinous force of nature in the next. And, of course, all things eventually gave way to new life. Even now, if one cared to look, the burgeoning evidence of the healing land could be found. Today, it was her task to find this evidence, to either deem the territory fit for keeping or due to be replaced.
The scout bounded freely across what might have once been a field, the rosen hue of her pelt a beacon amongst the deep grays and blacks of the landscape. Stealth was her forte, but even the most skilled of wolves would have a difficult time finding cover in a place such as this. She was in pursuit of a scent on the wind; a floral, delicate whiff of petals buried beneath the ash. Finally, coming to an effortless halt, she circled a spot before reaching out to brush aside the cinders piling atop her target.
Hearing the approach of pawsteps, she lifted her head, orange gaze warm with fond regard as she offered the approaching canid a smile brimming with welcome. "Look," Sekhmet said with audible cheer, "I found a daisy." And indeed there was, a lone flower blooming against all odds amidst the destruction. And if a daisy could grow, so too could other greenery, a symbol of hope pure and true. "I'd bet anything that given another few months, maybe a year, this place is lush once again. And where there's greenery, there's prey." Her smile widened into what could be called a grin. "Could even be used as a place for a good frolic, y'know. All work and no play makes for a dull wolf, after all."

Akita Fate Tried to destroy me but it only made me stronger. The massive brute found himself trotting through the burned lands for some unknown reason, Something just seemed to beckon the warrior to explore these unforgiving lands as if attracting the brute like a moth to the flame. The one thing that brought peace to Akita's mind through was the fact that he was still firmly in his pack's lands so the only wolves he was likely to encounter were that of his packmates. His optics scanned the landscape as he trotted along pausing every now and then to shake the ash from his pelt, unlike many of his packmates the warrior was not exactly bothered by the smell of these lands either though he was curious as to why the land was taking so long to recover from the fire.
Just then as if on cue the wind kicked up just a notch bringing with it a familiar scent though the wolf's name escaped him at the moment. With the intent to find out why they were out here, the brute turned his frame slowly making his way toward the source of the aforementioned scent. It would not take long before the red fae would come into view, Her name instantly clicking in his mind. Sekhmet, The lead scout for his pack. She was a scout so it was not so strange anymore that she'd be out on the fringes of pack territory.
"Look, I found a daisy"
The brute was pulled from his musings as it seemed he had been spotted by his packmate. Instead of responding verbally the brute simply chuckled and dipped his head in a show of respect and greeting. His auds absorbing what the smaller fae was talking about, it seemed she had hope these lands would return to their former glory soon."Always the optimist aren't we Sekhmet, Though i have to agree it would be a nice change of pace" Akita remarked coming to a stop a respective distance away from her.

ell life would be awfully dreary if we never looked for the silver linings, wouldn’t it?” Sekhmet replied with a playful flick of her tail. There were worse things in life to be than an optimist, that was for sure. ”I should have guessed it was you, Akita. I can practically see you coming from across the territory!” The red wolf joked, circling the large brute as if inspecting him. Coming to a halt, she said, ”I almost feel like a coyote, standing next to wolves like you and Arne. What’s your secret? An extra rabbit a day? Think you can spare a few inches?” The scout laughed quietly, mirth clear in her gaze.
She knew full well that she'd never hold a candle to the power behind the pack's warriors and alpha, but she hadn't been in a true battle of brawn since her time in her first pack. Speed, stealth, and endurance had always been her forte, content to let the wolves better built for the task handle the border skirmishes and predators that occasionally came to Azryni lands. It did leave her curious, though: how did she compare against a born and bred warrior? Feeling indulgent, she spoke again.
”Speaking of a change of pace, wanna play a game? Humor me a little, I’m curious.” Balancing on her hind legs, she placed her paws up on Akita’s shoulders. ”I wanna see the strength difference between a scout and a warrior. You know how to play, right? Here, put your paws on my shoulders too.” The lupess encouraged, orange eyes bright with mischief. ”On the count of three, we’ll both try to knock the other off balance. Simple, right? Okay, one, two… three!”
On her mark, she put all her strength into tilting the larger wolf off balance, knowing full well that the chances of him budging were close to zero. But hey, it was all in good fun, right?

Akita Fate Tried to destroy me but it only made me stronger. The brute merely stood there almost as if in awe, that the fae was not afraid of him. Granted he had been with the pack for some time now but it was still a strange feeling for the brute to interact with his packmates. He was so caught up in this that he completely missed what the fae had said in response but what she said after... well Akita was luckily blessed with a very dark colored pelt that made it very difficult for anyone to see his skin. which had turned a light shade of red after the smaller fae circled him.
”I should have guessed it was you, Akita. I can practically see you coming from across the territory!, I almost feel like a coyote, standing next to wolves like you and Arne. What’s your secret? An extra rabbit a day? Think you can spare a few inches?”
"Ha ha very funny squirt" Akita remarked in a playful manner looking down at her for a fleeting moment before moving his right forelimb forward softly putting his over-sized paw on her side then gave her a playful push, Returning his paw to the terrain shortly afterward. "You aren't that small compared to us, Besides i think you are feistier than a coyote" He remarked once more giving the fae a playful wink at the end of his sentence.
What happened next actually shocked the brute to the point he didn't even respond to what the fae had said, not like she would have taken no for an answer or so he assumed as she put her paws on his shoulders. Part of him was tempted to give her what she wanted and show her the true power of a Azryni warrior but then again what was the harm in letting her win hm? After all they were alone and it would probably make her day. So with that in mind The brute waited a few moments as she attempted to push him over, to actually give in allowing her to do so but the result of said action well lets just say he did not think that part through to much as he toppbled over, closing his optics and the next time he opened them, the sight that met his eyes was that of the fae above him, not quite sure if she was standing or not but she was indeed on top of the massive brute, who was pinned on his back.

ekhmet bared her fangs in response to being called a squirt, though it was obvious from the relaxed line of her body and the lack of aggression in her eyes that it was purely for show. And, perhaps, to add credit to Akita’s claim that she was feistier than a coyote; certainly there wasn’t a coyote for miles that would dare to show its teeth to a wolf as large as he.
She was thrilled that the brute was willing to go along with her game (despite the lack of choice she’d really given him), though she couldn’t have anticipated the outcome if she had tried. To her momentary shock, her efforts to push him over actually bore fruit, and it was largely thanks to this shock that the typically agile lupess did nothing to stop the events that immediately followed. As Akita went sprawling, her body moved with him, and in the blink of an eye her forelimbs were framing his shoulders as she pinned him to the ash-riddled earth.
She had no delusion as to how it had occurred; there was no way this would have happened if he hadn’t let her win, but even still she couldn’t stop the delighted peals of laughter that escaped her. ”Oh, look at you!” She said gleefully, lingering for a few long moments before stepping off of him. ”Don’t tell me you couldn’t withstand my formidable brawn? Try not to drool over my muscles too much, ‘Kita, I know they’re impressive.” She teased shamelessly, unable to cease the wag of her tail if she tried.
”But oh, now you’ve got soot all over you. Not that it isn’t a good look, you certainly make it work, but I can’t imagine it’s too comfortable. I’ll help brush you off, if you’d like.”

Akita Fate Tried to destroy me but it only made me stronger. Still trying to come to grips with what had just taken place, After all despite his better judgement he had let himself be pushed over and pinned by the smaller fae. Yes she was his pack mate and technically she did out rank him being the lead scout while he was just a warrior, He didn't exactly report directly to her but still she was to be respected due to her positioning within the pack.
”Oh, look at you!, Don’t tell me you couldn’t withstand my formidable brawn? Try not to drool over my muscles too much, ‘Kita, I know they’re impressive.”
Her words brought the brute back into reality, gazing up at her with a silly grin plastered across his muzzle. "What can i say, looks can be deceiving though who could blame me for letting a beauty like you win hm?" He remarked playfully rolling to his side once she had stepped from above him. Shaking the debris from his pelt slightly then pushed his frame from the terrain. To anyone that may have been listening it would seem like the brute was flirting with the lead scout and in a way he might have been but at the same time he was only stating the truth, she was a very beautiful fae. In his mind any brute would be lucky to claim her come the mating season.
”But oh, now you’ve got soot all over you. Not that it isn’t a good look, you certainly make it work, but I can’t imagine it’s too comfortable. I’ll help brush you off, if you’d like.”
Once the brute was back on paws, her tone met his auds once more causing him to rise one eyebrow, True being covered in the soot was not the most comfortable thing in the world and if he were to be honest, He did not expect the smell that now covered his being. It was not the most appealing if you were to catch his drift. His pelt reeked of burnt wood, foliage and of course the unfortunate souls that had been caught in the fire that had swept through the land. "Well i wouldn't say no to a helping paw" Akita chuckled softly attempting to shake some more of the debris from his pelt.
